Its been everywhere, and I’m not sure when the fig season is but I cant go past a crate of the juicy purplish little drop-shaped fruits without picking a few. There have been times when I have been tempted to pop one of those little things right into my mouth, but my mommy taught me better; so no fruit goes into my mouth without being washed.
It was a weekend morning and I was looking forward to having something rather healthy and man was I dreaming of those figs I picked up yesterday. So first thing after I woke up, I ran to the fridge and grabbed them all out (with a “my precious” grin on my face) and made my dream come true
So here’s a super simple and healthy snack… Figs and Prosciutto with spiced yoghurt.

Lovely! These figs look super delicious…what a fantastic snack!
Thanks Sara
yummy and inviting. I’ve never tried figs before hmmm how do I know the right fig to choose?
Most figs I find here in Dubai lack flavor, sometimes I get lucky in picking sweet ones. These guys up here were sweet and I guess it was intuition
But mostly when you pick figs they should be a deep, deep purple, not too tough, slightly soft and tender; if it is tough then its not ready yet. Also dont pick the ones that are mushy and bruised.
I hope that helps
Love your photo! What a creative way of eating figs… I’m a huge fig jam addict btw
